Discipline built the structure — the achievements, the resume, the external life. But I wasn't actually living. I was performing. I was pushing. I was everyone's thermostat. I was running a program. The life existed but I wasn't inside it.
Surrender showed me how to actually inhabit my own life. How to wake up and feel it. How to sit in the park and be present. How to rest without guilt. How to follow my excitement instead of my obligation. And how to enjoy the journey more than the goal.
What I discovered? The miracle isn't the destination. It's what happens when you stop running long enough to feel where you already are.
